BREAKING: DRIVER COLLIDES WITH SOLDIERS IN LAGOS, RESULTING IN FOUR FEARED DEAD AND SEVERAL INJURED
Four soldiers from the Myoung Barracks in the Morocco area of Shomolu, Lagos, are feared dead, with additional injuries reported, following an incident involving a suspected intoxicated driver who collided with them.
According to information gathered by Green9ja365, the driver struck the soldiers during their routine monthly road jogging outside the barracks in the early hours of Friday.
An eyewitness, Priscilla, residing in the vicinity, reported that the Toyota vehicle, occupied by three young men, was traveling at high speed when it crashed into the soldiers.
Following the collision, the occupants of the vehicle attempted to flee the scene but were subsequently apprehended and physically assaulted, resulting in damage to their vehicle. The eyewitness further noted that one of the young men sustained stab wounds.
“The incident occurred early this morning while the soldiers were engaged in their monthly morning exercise when the young men rammed into them in front of the barracks. Four soldiers are confirmed dead, and several others have sustained serious injuries. After the collision, the young men attempted to escape but were caught and severely beaten, leading to the vandalism of their vehicle. Additionally, one of the young men was stabbed by the soldiers. This incident has caused significant panic among local residents.”
As of the time of this report, the Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for the 81 Division, Olabisi Ayeni, and the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, have not yet responded to inquiries sent to their phones.
