 Nigerian singer Innocent Ujah Idibia, better known as 2Baba, has reportedly responded after facing backlash for announcing his separation from Annie Idibia on social media.

On Sunday, January 26th, 2025, 2Baba, famed for his hit "African Queen," caused a stir by revealing that his 13-year marriage to Annie has ended. Many criticized the timing of his announcement, suggesting it exacerbated the situation for Annie, especially as she was featured on the reality show *Young, Famous and African*.

In response to the allegations against him for sharing the news publicly, 2Baba claimed in a viral Facebook post that Annie was the cause of the divorce. He stated that she was more focused on her reality shows than on their family and mentioned that during his struggles with kidney failure, he often found himself alone in the hospital.

“All these years I’ve been suffering from kidney failure, where have you all been? My wife is more interested in her reality shows. Most times, I’ve been alone in the hospital. How many times have I left the hospital bed to attend to appointments just to take care of the family I love so much, suffering severe consequences and relapses for that? Where have you all been? Now I’m the devil because someone is acting drama over a divorce she caused herself. Nothing is happening.”
